Frequently Asked Questions Full Bloom Counseling | Washingto

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. Full Bloom Counseling is a Christian counseling practice grounded in Biblical truth and Christ-centered care. We believe faith can be an important part of healing and welcome clients who desire to integrate their faith into counseling.

We also welcome clients from other backgrounds and value informed consent. Clients are free to integrate faith in ways that feel supportive or determine whether our approach is the right fit for their needs.

No. While we are faith-forward, you do not have to share our beliefs to receive counseling. We believe transparency matters, and we want clients to feel empowered to choose a therapist and approach that aligns with their values and comfort level.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Trauma can become “stuck” in the nervous system, leading to anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or relational difficulties.

EMDR therapy helps reduce the emotional intensity of these memories, allowing clients to experience greater regulation, clarity, and freedom. EMDR can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, and other concerns.

Yes. EMDR therapy is widely researched and considered a safe and effective treatment for trauma when provided by a trained therapist. At Full Bloom Counseling, EMDR is conducted within a trauma-informed, paced, and supportive framework, ensuring clients feel grounded and supported throughout the process.

Yes. We provide Christian marriage and couples counseling grounded in attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Biblical principles. Couples counseling can help improve communication, heal relational wounds, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional and spiritual connection.

Yes. We offer child counseling, play therapy, and family counseling. Our therapists use attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate approaches to support children, teens, parents, and families as they navigate emotional and relational challenges.

Play therapy is an evidence-based approach that allows children to express emotions and experiences through play rather than words alone. Play is a child’s natural language, and within a safe therapeutic relationship, it can support emotional regulation, healing from trauma, and healthy development.

The length of counseling varies depending on each client’s needs, goals, and the nature of the concerns being addressed. Some clients benefit from short-term counseling, while others engage in longer-term work, especially when healing trauma or attachment wounds.

We work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Our therapists have specialized training to support clients at different developmental stages.

Telehealth availability varies by therapist and service. Please contact us to learn more about current telehealth options and whether they may be appropriate for your needs.

The first session is an opportunity to share what brings you to counseling, ask questions, and begin building a safe therapeutic relationship. Your therapist will gather background information, discuss goals, and explain the counseling process. We move at a pace that feels respectful and supportive.

To get started, contact Full Bloom Counseling through our website or by phone. Our team will help you schedule an appointment and answer any additional questions you may have.

We accept cash, credit cards, checks, HSA, and FSA.

Our fees for a 60-minute session vary for which therapist is being seen.  For more pricing details reach out to our Connection Specialist today at 636-388-8150.

Fees are due at the time of your therapy session.

We charge the full fee for cancelations that happen with a less than 24-hour notice.

We occasionally get sick and/or have a family emergency.  If this happens, we will do our best to reschedule your appointment in the same week it was cancelled.

This sometimes happens and is totally acceptable.  We would love to have a conversation with clients who feel this way so that we can learn what you need, assist you in finding adequate referrals and wish you well on your therapy journey.
