There are many reasons why people reach out to start engaging in individual therapy. Some of the reasons people engage in therapy with me is to help find freedom from trauma, anxiety, anger issues, depression, or just help knowing what step to take next in life. From birth, our brains are interpreting and storing information to help us make sense of the world around us. However, when bad things happen to us or when there are breakdowns in our relationships, our brains often store information in ways that are unhelpful. Often, the bad memory is stored with a negative belief about us, our safety, our relationships, and our value. When these negative beliefs about us get stronger we experience hypervigilance, nightmares, sleep issues, flashbacks, anger, and the list goes on.
It doesn't have to be this way. Through building a therapeutic relationship, the use of EMDR, play, art, and the therapy space at Full Bloom, we can help you reach your goals. Being registered play therapist doesn't mean we only collaborate with kiddos. We love to work with clients of all ages.
